How to choose calendars, write on your board, manage backups and resolve common problems.
Three steps to get started
- Choose your calendarsUse the welcome screen or Settings to choose which calendars appear. Apple calls the required reading permission “Full Access”; CalenCanvs uses it only to read events.
- Find a day or monthUse Today to return to the current day, and This Month to see the month. You can also drag, pinch or double-tap a day.
- Add notes and stampsChoose a pen or highlighter and write with a finger or Apple Pencil. Choose a stamp, then tap a day or the board to place it.
Frequently asked questions
Why are my events missing?
Check calendar access for CalenCanvs in device Settings, then choose visible calendars in the app. Make sure a calendar account has been added to the device.
Does it work with Google Calendar and iCloud?
CalenCanvs does not log into these services directly. It reads calendars that your device makes available through Apple EventKit, including supported accounts you add in device calendar settings.
Can I edit or delete events?
CalenCanvs is read-only. Use your usual calendar app to change events.
Can I share a board with family or another device?
Version 1.0 does not support board synchronization or cloud sharing. You can view plans and drawings together on the same device.
How do I save or transfer drawings?
Drawings and settings save automatically on this device. Export a backup from Settings. Importing replaces the current board; choose calendars again after restoring.
What happens when I delete the app?
Deleting the app removes its local data. Export a backup before deleting it if you want to keep drawings. Manage exported files and device backups separately.
Can I see all events on a busy day?
The board shows up to eight events per day and an explicit remaining count. All Events exposes the complete list.
